tail lights painted..(not the lenses)
well after making the mistake of trying to bake my driverside tail light, which is the method for seperating the headlights..i had a ruined DS tail light which was no longer of use due to the semi-melted lense lol!. i then found out the tail lights were pressed together with a cement, but could be opened with a dremel tool..since my G is not a DD i decided to try a few things and this is what the results are....enjoy
first started out using the small cutting wheel in the dremel

after about 4 of these cutting wheels, i finally get all the way around..this process takes about an hour per tail light

carfully seperate the housing from the inner plastic peice..this peice is very fraile

there are a few screws inside and out..you will need to remove them all including the ones holding the led circut boards in place and all the lenses..remove all wiring as well(all connected)

then sand the chrome plastic inner, using a 120grit sandpaper..after removing the chrome, use 600-800grit to smooth the surface

wipe clean, then use dupli-color flat black spray paint..takes about 3 coats to completely even out

after drying for about 2hrs..replace all led hardware including all the lenses

i used gorilla glue to re-apply the outter lense(red). but use caution the gorilla glue expands quite a bit..i recommend using headlight/tail light silicon...i then used adjustable straps to hold the tail light together while the glue sat up over night

heres the finished product..hope this info is usefull
