Buy Aftermarket shocks now or wait for stocks to blow?

I was thinking about this and it seems only proper to ride out the stock shocks and then replace them when they are worn out. Right? I'd see it as a waste if you were to just take out the stock shocks and set them aside for a long period of time. Opinions? BTW I'm referring to the shocks being there after installing lowering springs.

Why waste a good pair of stock shocks when you can store them away and use them if you were to sell your car later on?

if you are tight on money now, go ahead and stay stock till they blow. if you ever decide to sell your car, buy new stock ones. :P
