350z OEM Springs

I have an 06 Coupe w/Sport Susp. I love the handling, just wanted to lower it a little bit without changing the spring rates that I have. From all the searching i've done, i think the REVISED OEM 350z sprins would give me a nice 1/2 inch drop all around and i would maintain the same spring rates. My question to all the susp experts out there is do you think this is a good way to go for a slight drop or should i look at something aftermarket? If so, what are your suggestions?

You have the right idea. Same spring rate... about half an inch drop. And you should be able to pick them up for cheap. Just be sure you are getting the correct parts. I know theres painted dots on the springs and the revised ones have a different paint code scheme compared to the unrevised springs. Search or PM Gsedan35 about this.

well considering i just installed a set of 06 350Z springs on extreme4377's 06 G today i can give you some advice... DO IT! It lowered it a good 1/2" all the way around and really brought the look of the car together. The rear springs looks exactly the same when you take em out but they're not. So to answer your question, yes this is a great way to acheive a slight drop with out spending alot of money, you can pick up revised Z springs for around $100.

Yes please do. I was just talking about it with my wife, and she's not to sure about it. It's our DD and she doesnt want to have to drive "super careful" with it...

Crappy pics, theyre from my camera phone. Ill take better ones tomorrow hopefully.
I drove to a flat parking lot so the hill I live on wouldnt affect the drop.

Again, crappy quality pics but Ill take more with a real cam soon. I wouldnt even wait another minute tho, just buy em. You wont have to drive "carefully". Its only half an inch or so. It definitely is worth it tho and helps lessen the fender gap.

Can I get a clarification? When people say that are running a 350z suspension, are they talking about just the springs or springs and shocks? Does it make a difference to run the 350z springs with g35 sport shocks as opposed to 350z springs and shocks?

Thanks.

Do you feel any handling difference? Any rubbing or bounciness or bad ride quality? And is it harder to get over bumps now?

Here's a picture of extreme4377's ride the day after I installed his 06 Z springs on his 06 coupe so you can get an idea of what it looks like. Perfect drop IMO. let me know if you want more pics.
