good brake setup

My brembos need replacing and based on the searches I have done here getting it done at a dealership will be a huge ripoff. In one thread I read that with the brembos you can't just change the pads you have to also change the rotors (is this true) if that's the case I might as well get aftermarket rotors and pads.
If this is true then what is a good combo of pads and rotors that will not squeel? I don't mind brake dust that much but I have zero tolerance for squeeking and squeeling.

Thanks

just looked at prices of rotors. Don't really want to spend that much. Are new rotors really needed? why can't I just replace the pads?

yeah I noticed that also. What I really like is that the price of all 4 is cheaper than what it would cost to just get a set of front or rear stillen rotors. What I am concerned about is noise. Do rotors contribute to noise that much or does that mostly depend on the pads?

Noise is a stick-slip vibration between the pads and the rotors.........either one can be the cause.

Rotor cast iron quality, chemical makeup, and density is critical also internal dampening [vane support structure and quanity quality.

There are hundreds of ways to make inexpensive rotors ---all bad. 80% of the world's rotors are now made in China"
Poland is now Brembo production...............who ever has the cheapest iron.

"We are producing this kind of high performance brake rotor with yellow,
white and black colors. They are selled to U.S.A. market several years."

Looks like Steallen [famous brand] to me
