How long did it take for delivery from the time you placed the order?

I want this bar, I just do not know if it will fit with the Vortech SC and Kinetix SSV...

^^ took a good 1.5 weeks. if you order from www.japanparts.com, they
should be able to get it to you within one week.

ive had parts ordered on a Sunday night (Monday in Japan) and arrived
the same Thurs/Friday. might take a little longer, but wont be like a
3-4 week wait unless ARC is out of them.

not sure about the fitment on your car. my motor's only got a z-tube
and pop charger.

Great writeup and excellent news on the functionality. I have no doubt that the G really does benefit from a strut bar. I'm a little concerned though with the hood clearance. Would you recommend gently closing the hood by using hand pressure to lock it? I would think dropping the hood so it self locks would be a bad idea. Also it looks like it will be a bit of pain adjusting your D-Specs now. Is that true? I have an ARC bar on order as well but it won't be shipped out till the end of the month. Depending on your answers I may have to cancel and go with the VRT bar. Thanks.

thanks.

it won't matter if you closed it by dropping the hood or pushing it down
by hand to lock it. the rubbage is minimal (you can crush the deadner
by hand a little bit to lessen the push, but there's a metal frame bar
under there so can't do too much) and it probably's not enough for
the hood to retain memory. i mean, you can push the hood with your
pinky from the back and still get similar high spot showing you that
it's quite flexible.

As far as d-spec adjustment, can't do it without removing the
strut tower pieces if you use the Tokico adjustment tool. but
i think those are adjusted by a hex allen key so if you have a long
key wrench, you might be able to adjust it... removing the cap
is a pita especially on the driver side.

if you have EDFC, the EDFC will not have enough clearance.

Another +1 on the write-up. So, with your success we now have a choice in STBs. Choice is good. As I have said before, I would not go back to the way my car handled before the installation of my VRT. I'm glad you feel the same.

Thanks Ken. Doesn't look too bad with the Tokico adjustment as long as the middle bar is removed. Plus I only track about twice a year so its not like I have to do it often. I think I'll stick with the ARC bar for now. Can't wait to get my new toy!

yep, regardless of VRT or ARC, get a front strut bar on there! it is a
night and day difference on this car as I found out.

Those tools were kinda crappy if you ask me. Didn't even work too well. Couldn't tell if it was actually turning the inner shaft or just spinning around doing nothing.

there's very minor rubbage when you have the arc set at the lowest
setting. your c/f should be fine unless it's shaped differently on the
inside vs factory hood.
