The VRT STB is a Great Product. Contact Forum Member wa2good, His company makes them.

i think it has to be made out of strong material like titanium in order
to have the rigidity as the arc. you make it out of stainless at that
thickness, probably be just a dressup conversation piece for nothing
but dressup.

actually yes.... If you look at the Vortech set up there is a square end where the MAF housing meets a induction pipe... It looks to me that this strut bar would end up crossing the engine bay at the exact point that the square is which is a high point and would make clearance an issue...

So yeah, I think the Vortech would matter in this case...

Stainless, if done right, would be just as strong as titanium. The advantages of having titanium isnt so much because its stronger... its because its lighter.

a 5-10lbs isn't going to make any difference on a 3500lbs+ car.

send me your replica when you get it and i'll do a back to back
comparo for you. (just need the center bar)

Ok....I see. But I don't know about yours but mine sits pretty low, at least an inch under the top of the plenum.

And judging by this pic.....it looks like plenty of room.

But, I'll let you know shortly.

You can see where I am talkin about in these pics.... The square area is right where the bar would cross over... I am not sure if there is enough of a rise on the bar to clear it... I also have the Seibon JS style CF hood that has a reinforcement brace in the center of the hood so I would not be able to raise the height of the bar to clear the square industion connection...









Ok, I put this last pic up just cuz I like it
