The main reason is that we do not seal against the shock. With our system you keep your existing struts or coilovers.

Also they are more focused around a "luxiourious" ride which is alot softer then ours.

We are focusted around a sports handling ride.

alright im almost sorry I came across this thread
Im literally in the process of ordering tein basic coilovers, 350evo a-arms, spc rear camber with toe bolts, and stillen sways
thats a total of a little more than 2,000, around what your asking for your air bags

my question to you is if I was to purchase these air bags and forget about the coilovers, would I still need the cambers? or would I just need the air bags and be well on my way?

alignments aside.

thanks!

It depends. How much camber are you looking for? The wheels will camber in come when its dropped.

I don't think it matters how you lower the car, once you get to a certain point your camber is going to be too extreme. Front and rear camber kits will be needed for any large drop, doesn't matter if it's with springs, coilovers or airbags. You could lower your car an inch and some change and still get the car within alignment spec, but if you have airbags you're going to probably go lower than an inch! The thing the airbags offer over the coilover setup is the ability to raise and lower as needed... drive around low and raise it up to get into the driveway - at least that's how I understand it, could be wrong though

to me the difference here is show or performance. if you wanna show off and slam it to the ground, by all means get the bags. if you're goin to track, then you shoudl stick with what you got and sacrifice show for performance.

Our bags will not sacrafice performance http://www.universalairsuspension.co...DRIFTONAIR.wmv

Now if your looking for best possible performance you will want to run the adjustable coilovers for your dampening control and slip our bags over them.

On all the G35/350Z's that we have done the customers report no loss in ride quality and a slight decrease in body roll by just changing out the coils for the bags. (that is on both HKS Coilovers and Stock Suspension)

I'm guessing it would help to have coilovers?

If it was one corner, you can lift up the other 3 to move it around assuming you still have the sway bars on the car.

but, on the G35's there isn't anything for the bags to rub against to get the hole... We have done plenty of these cars over the years...

I saw pictures of a set up where the tank was mounted in the rear(covered by bumper). What would happen if he got rear ended? Would his car just drop to his lowest setting?
