polishing rims

I got these Volk GT-C 19" rims off a friend of my and these rims has been sitting in the garage for over a year. I can see some of little leftover water stain or some residue (god knows what). But my quesiton is what products out there that i can use it to polish off those stains.

I want my chrome lip rims to be shine again. Please help.

Thanks

I remember seeing a thread on type of polish/wax. I can't remember what the name was. Try doing search on it.

Mother's mag polish....best and safest stuff to use for aluminum lips.

I use them on my DPE's, they're great

Vols are annodized I believe. Be careful don't use any chemicals and becareful not to use anything too abrasive! Wheel wax or a cleaner wax should do the trick. Anything harsher I would test in a small spot first!

Cool

Volks are anodized and then clear coated!

Usually, what you see screwed up is something that reacted with the clear coat.

Only way to make them look right is to completely strip off the clear, polish and then re clear.

Pep boys should carry it. It's like 5-10 bucks. Be sure to use a 100% cotton towel to apply and a good microfiber towel to buff off.

get some cleaner wax...

you also have to clean the insides of the rim.....(the brownish area)

Does wheel wax or cleaner wax really works out that good? Did anyone has this problem in the past with their rims?
