Toyo T1R and Michelin Pilot Sport PS2
Toyo T1R and Michelin Pilot Sport PS2
Hey guys,
there is a lot of talk about the Toyo T1R tires, but can someone tell me why they are so good?
I have a 2003 G35 Coupe w/18s and the stock tires are Michelin Pilot Sport.
I am planning on getting new 19" or 20" wheels and tires and assumed that the Michelin PS2 were good tires.
Thanks

I just went from stock 18's with Michelin's to 19's with T1R's and the biggest thing I noticed was how much better the ride was over expansion joints and how much quieter they are. They handle pretty damn good too!
I have had the Michelin PS2's for over a year & 3 months now.Best tire I have ever had. They were expensive, but I feel they were worth it.This is my fourth modified car,so I have gone thru alot of tires in my time.I still have plenty of tread left in the tires. These tires are also quiet. If someone thinks Michelin tires are noisy, they never drove on PS2's.All the different tire shops I went to,all said the PS2's were the most quiet tire.
i had the stock tires for a while and they were so loud.. an not an enjoyable ride... when i needed tires i looked to see what alot of people said and the majority said t1-r's.. so i got them.. i replaced all 4 going one size up in the back.. 255/40/19 in the rear and 225/40/19 in the front.. i have the oem 19's... the ride is a million times better.. so much softer ride... and the handle pretty good too in dry... havn't tried it in wet

Some Michelins get noisy, but so do most unidirectionals.
I've driven most & I am currently running PS2s
PS2 are NOT unidirectional and are very quiet running.
They are easily the best tire I've owned & will def. buy again.
I switched my toyos t1-rs to mich ps-2s I enjoy them much better. They are quieter and smoth but handle better. They were expensive almost 300 more per set of 4. Im running 275 back and 245 front on 19's
The michelin ps2 is a much quieter tire than the t1r. The t1r is a nice tire for the money but cant even be compared to the ps2. It can be compared to the regular pilot sport or the pilot sport as, which also get noisy. I sell both all day long and when my wheels come in, the ps2's are going on.
