1K is a lot for a brake job. Even for the Stealership. I had several quotes that were less than half that from national chains.

It's not that hard to do it yourself. All you need is a few tools and a "C" clamp. The hardest part is finding a place to re-cut your rotors with a "non-directional" pattern. Most places still have the old radial cut machines.

You can do a search and find a DYI on it here most likely. If not there is a lot of info on the web.

You can get a copy of a manual HERE, even if it's not the same year, the process is the same.

dealerships dont cut rotors... they just replace them, at least thats how mercedes benz is. but if you had a full brake job, meaning new pads and rotors at all four corners, thats still pretty cheap.
