Brake Upgrade Kit, but which one to get???
Brake Upgrade Kit, but which one to get???
So I currently have an 04 auto coupe that I drive fairly aggressively when I like to have fun on my own. I don't race it on a track, but MIGHT consider taking it for a 2 hour track day once or twice in the future (pretty expensive so don't really consider it in this decision).
I am currently looking at two brake upgrade kits available, however, the prices are quite a bit different, and I am not sure if I am sacrificing some sort of performance in the process.
I am looking for a set that will give me better braking response all around (which I'm sure both will do esp with the braided brake lines), have minimal dust on a weekly basis, and NOT FREAKING SQUEAK when you come to a stop (I have tried the 5 hard stops thing, it comes back after a while).
Choices are the links below, but at this time, I am not looking to upgrade the calipers yet. As much as I would to get a BBK all around, I am getting a body kit and suspension before that, so this is my temp fix until then.
Thanks for all your responses.

i also plan on upgrading my brakes
guys at mynismo strongly suggested i stay away from hawk pads though. they said that they dont dust which is a plus but they said they dont dust because they dont grab lol
if your rotors are still good then just get the stage 1 upgrade..
youll get a huge difference with the lines themselves..
mynismo guys suggested endless or project u pads for daily but aggressive driving
stoptech lines, motul brake fluid, endless or project u pads should be around $330
hope that helps a little..thats the route i will be going..

Yea it does help. I figured that I would have to get the rotors since I was going away from the pads that I had, but I guess I don't. The stage one upgrade that you describe is much more desirable to get at this point since I am not looking to spend almost half the money on a brake upgrade, rather than a full BBK upgrade that I am trying to wait on.
I know the fact that more dust is better grab, but I also want my rims to look shinny while I drive throughout the week
. I guess it's just something I will have to live with.
