Dinged my Rim, (_I_) light came on, Help

This is my first post. I was pulling into an alley to park, and BAM!!climbed the curb a bit and thought it just scratched the tire and bottom of the front scoop, but it bit good piece of my front rim. I got an 04 coupe 6mt, this is the first rim scratch.....aargggg. to make matter worst, the light (_I_) came on, and i am assuming its the tire thats dammaged. can some one help me with some insight?

is your rim bent if it is then it might cause a leak so that light is your tire pressure sensor..pump it up and it should go away then check periodically if the pressure is dropping...If it is then your rim is causing the tire to leak. Or you could have damaged you tire and its leaking.

checked all tires, they were kinda low at 30 psi, so we added air til we were at 35psi, and the lights did not go away....maybe it affected something internal, or may it be that its in indicator for new tires..... another note: the light is not in my manual, i have a 2003 coupe manual.

did you drive around yet??? cause it should go away when you drive but it is possible that you might have damaged the tps sensor on your damaged rim.

Thanks fellow G35 driver, i really feel like i belong to crew now. i went nice car wash and then got my tires checked out and inflated to the correct PSI, 35. tipped the dude 2 bucks, and the light was still on. i was like what? i was starting to questioned some of the comments, but then on a sharp turn, it went away.... now i am looking into new rims, tsw vortex, with about 1 in drop.. i guess that is for another thread....
thanks again.
