AXXIS delus plus BRAKES!

anyone use these?

i replaced my stock brembo's with these about 3 weeks ago, and they squeak BAD, real bad, but i only noticed the squecking at low speeds (under 30mph). know i didnt resurface the rotors, because they looked real smooth. the axxis website claims these are quiet pads, but there very loud, and i usually notice it in rainy/humid days. any ideaas?

Quiet compared to what?........ Notice they nor anyone else ever says our pads are quieter than oem pads. Hech they never say our pads are as quiet as oem.

After 200-500 miles they should transfer enough new pad film to get quieter.....what ever quieter means.

You install them correctly? ie.. clean all the surfaces that the pad backing plates ride on? Clean the little brackets etc.. Dab just a little high temp grease on the backing plate sliding surfaces?? (AND NO, NOT ON THE PAD/ROTORS!)

I'm running Axxis Deluxe Plus in my stoptech setup and I have no problems with noise or dust. Maybe I'm deaf now, or I'm just so used to the noise from my Axxis Ultimates that I don't even notice it, but the Deluxe Plus' are great for me. Maybe you should try to bed the pads...get some pad deposited on the rotors, that might help your problem a bit.

get some pad deposited on the rotors? I thought that was bad. i have that.

I did do a form of bedding after intall. i basically drove at speeds 20,40,60 mph and hit the brakes hard, but not to a complete stop. Ive replaced brakes on many different makes models through the years and found the only reason brakes would squeak after I installed them was because of the pad material. I did not use high temp grease or clean the brake components well, just a wipe down, so ill try that.

something just seems strange because it doesnt squeak all the time, only sometimes loud and just this past day or 2 i hear a pretty noticeable grinding when i use the brakes initially. im thinking its just a way these brake pads break in, but its nothing ive ever seen on any other car.

Try some anti sqeal spray on the back of the pads. Did you put the shims back on?

I have Axxis Ultimates in my Brembos in front and they make no noise at all.

I have the axxis deluxe and I ran them at first w/o shims. They squealed a little bit at low speed stopping and were quite loud when the brake were cold. But ever since I used some disc brake quiet with shims all the squeaking went away. Axxis deluxe hardly dust as well although I wish they had more bite. I'll try the ulitmates next time even though they dust just as bad as oem.

Yes, the Axxis Ultimates dust at least as much as OEM. But they work well.
