have an '05 6mt coupe (19" wheels). pretty sure these are non brembo brakes on the '05. i ordered pads but recieved the wrong ones (too small length wise by ~3/4"). most catalogs seem to list the coupes 03-05 either w/ brembos or not.

so, does anyone know for certain if the 03-04 brembo pads will work on the '05? or do i have a special set of pads?

anyone order pads for the '05 6mt, if so what did you order (brand part number)?

(am i confused in that the '05 does not come with brembos?)

Brembo pads will not work with the '05 stock. I'd check tirerack for the pads.

No, the '05 does not come with bremos.

 

^^hes right. they stopped offering brembos in 04.

03-04 had brembos
05-06 didnt have brembos

 

yea, thats what i thought.. i was pretty certain they didnt come with brembos. so all these parts catalogs that list 03-05 must be wrong. i also did check the tirerack, in part because they have an accurate parts catalog for the '05. --tirerack does not list pads for the 05! ..

 

Also, non-brembo 03-04G's have smaller rotors than 05-06 G's. The calipers may also have been revised. You may have gotten 03-04 pads. Try pads for an 06.

seanch around in this forum and there is a post somewhere with the specific rotor sizes between 03-04 and 05-06.
