New pads and rotors installed!

Hey Gang,

I finally got around to installing my new StopTech AeroRotors and Axxis Ultimate pads today - all four wheels. I had an issue on the first wheel where one of the caliper bolts was almost impossible to tighten. I probably cross-threaded it but after 30 minutes of agonizing ratchet presses it's definitely in there really tight now so I'm probably good until the next pad replacement (might have to repair the threads then, we'll see). But the rest of the calipers went back without a hitch.

Anyway, I'm getting ready to bed the new pads/rotors tomorrow. I understand how the bed-in process works. But I have some questions about maintainting the transfer layer and some other stuff:

1. If I'm not racing the car and braking hard a lot, how often should i re-bed to ensure the transfer layer does not wear off?

2. Given I'm using Axxis Ultimates, any idea how I should drive to prevent the need to re-bed the pads/rotors? I'm not 100% clear on the adherent operating properties of these pads and just how hard I should drive to maintain the transfer layer.

3. Since installing the new pads/rotors, the brake fluid level in the reservoir is above the MAX line now. I guess it's from the extra compression we imposed on the four brake lines during installation. Since I'm no expert, I'm not really sure why the level increased. Is it a big deal to drive with the brake reservoir above the MAX line marker? I do plan to do the SS lines and flush soon but until then, I just want to make sure I'm okay.

4. I held off on doing the stainless steel lines and DOT4 brake fluid because I only had one liter of the ATE blue super racing fluid - which wasn't enough to refill the completely flushed brake system. So I just ordered the 2nd liter of the ATE blue and will attempt the SS install hopefully soon. I imagine two liters should be plenty to do the full job. Does that sound accurate?

Thanks again. As usual, this forum has made the process of modifying and maintaining my G more efficient and more fun.

Take care,
B
