I have an '05 coupe with 30,500 miles and its about time to do some work on the brakes. Heres the deal the closest infiniti dealer is 99 miles in Atlanta and there is a nissan dealership that is 3 miles up the road, today i went in and spoke with the so called "master service advisor" at the desk that is really her title. I questioned her about if they could do brake work on our infinitis. She said, "yes we can our 350z brake pads and rotors are the same as the infinitis parts and it will not void any warranties." I was like ok that sounds a little strange and she then told me the cost with parts, labor and tax is $195 for the fronts and $185 for the rears. That sounded like not a bad deal.
Can you guys with experience give me a heads up on whether or not I am going to be able to get this brake work done at Nissan cause I would hate to have to drive up to Atlanta. Are nissan pads the same as what they use at Infiniti, also?
Thanks in advance for your expertise and any advise is appreciated.
