The new brake pads in the later models aren't much better. That's why I swiched to the Brembo calipers and Hawk pads.
04 coupe with about 36K on it right now, and had my front brakes done 3 time and the back brakes done one time. And now my free brake service is up, so when it's time for brakes again I'll go with your set-up Zerk.

i just replaced my pads from 28K to 55K miles and replaced my rotors also for the first time...
p.s. the first time my brakes wore out the dealer picked up the tab since they were under that 36k mile warranty...wish all brake jobs at the dealer were guaranteed for 36k miles...

So if I were to switch to Hawk brake pads, do I have to change the rotors as well?

Its only for the 03-04 AT coupes with under 30000 miles. I got 9k out of my 1st set and 21k out of my last set.

34k on the car and had the front pads changed 3 times and twice the rears. All rotors were changed once also.

Odd. I dont think I have ever gotten more than 30,000 out of pads before.

I have 41000 and started to have a light squeek on braking. I was ready to change the front, took off the wheel and I still have 50% pad remaining. Cool! Made my Saturday a bit less work intensive!

I guess the squeek is probably just brake dust, debri on the pads. Looks like I am going to get around 50000 out of these. Weird.
