Hawk HP Pads...............

You could do a search.........or you could order them from Stillen or
everything G35 sells them for about the same price. Install takes about
an hour to do correctly and the breakin process takes a few minutes if you
can find an area to complete. Here's what I did to warm the new pads up...

1. 30 to 10 mph 5 times Try not to come to a complete stop while your
2. 45 to 10 mph 5 times doing the breakin........I didn't stop until the
3. 65 to 10 mph 3 times I was finished.
After you've completed this task let your car sit for a couple hours to cool
down. With this completed you shouldn't have issues with squeeks.........
but the best part is you won't have the dreded black crud on
your wheels. My G only had 14K miles on the clock so I didn't turn the
discs but lightly sanded them.

hawks are great if you dont do a lot of spirited driving since they dont dust much. but if you step on your brakes a lot youll find the initial bite is the pits with these pads

id suggest them for daily drivers for sure though. i must agree...cleaning brake dust off my works isnt very fun

btw, this is jmho. many people have hawk pads and love them.

I like the HP+ line, they have held up even at the track. Street driving is fine with them, cold bite etc no probs. The only downside I'd say is that they can get noisy at times.

Axxis Ultimates will offer higher bite than the HPS line and be quieter than HP+ although they are somewhat dusty. Generally speaking, the Axxis pads will be quite a bit cheaper than the Hawk pads as well.

I have the Axxis Ultimates with my front Stoptech kit and they do bite very well but sure are dusty. I don't mind though since peformance is more important to me. If you want a pad this is cheap, almost no dust, and performs on par with the OE pads, I'd suggest the Axxis Deluxe pads. Had those before and my wheels would stay clean for a long long time.

That's all the G pilots need is another pad that loads up our high dollar wheels
with black crud. The Hawk pads I installed work just like the factory pads less the damn dust. Unless your going to build a racecar the Hawk pad will
do just fine!!

Some anti squeel on the back of the pads work to a certain extent. I don't know about the HPS, but the HP+ pads ARE supposed to be noisy, its just a normal characteristic of high perf. pads. Personally I like the sound hehe, shows that you actually use the G like you should be

Gary C's break in recommendation is good.. just be sure to allow some time between hard braking for the brakes to cool. That's why you want to do it out in the country, somewhere, with no traffic and no or few lights. So you have some coasting room. You don't want to set the brakes hard while they are still very hot. Unless, it's to avoid a tree, etc. !
