Hawk HP brake pads

I would suggest trying the RacingBrake brand. They offer a nice range of pads so they can match your needs. For street and light track use I recommend the 700 sereis. I've used them on the track and on the street. No noise. The Hawk pads make a lot of noise, to the point they are embarrassing.
Glenmead, at what point did they squeal and what setup do u have? I just purchased a set of 1 piece Rotora cd/s rotors w/ Hawls hps. I have no squeal at all and i have put 400 miles on them already. I really think its the brembo oem pads and rotors that create the noise the most. The hawk pads are comparable to the brembo oems but with less dust.

Hotchkis springs and sway anti-sway bars
G35 Brembos front and rear
RacingBrake 2 piece rotors on the front
Bear Frozen rotors on the back
ATE Super Blue brake fluid
SS brake lines
I use the SS factory shim to reduce heat transfer from pad to caliper
I have also 'crowned' the caliper pistons to reduce heat transfer to the caliper.
The Hawk pads I was running were the HP+ (front and rear). They squealed very loudly below 5 mph, which means every stop light and stop sign. I went through two sets before I gave up on them (I track my car so I go through lots of brake pads). They were fine other than that. I've run 500, 700 and 900 series RacingBrake pads with no squeal at all. I would not recommend running the 900's on the street. I wouldn't recommend running the 500's on the track.

The rotor and pad combination might be the problem. I really think that the hawk pads are much harder on rotors then the brembo pads. Perhaps your rotors are tough on pads, so this may cause noise when used in combo w/ hard pads.
Some people may disagree with me but i really think u can only have it one way, either ur pads outlast the rotors or ur rotors outlast multiple pads. If u purchase soft pads then ur rotors will last a little longer, but of course ull get more dust from the softer pads. The opposite is also true, if u buy harder pads theyll last longer but they will eat up ur rotors alot quicker.

Researching or reading the promotional literature.
Important to KNOW the friction coefficient of pads vs pad temperature and the frictiction coefficient vs application speed. New, and at increments of wear and age from heat cycling.
Wear rate vs temperature in milligrams per second.
These are the trade secrets pad marketeers hope to hide from public so they cannot make informed valid comparisons.

How come nobody mentioned the OEM brembo pads from everythingg35.com?
Alright, how come nobody mentioned anything about the OEM brembo brake pads from everythingg35.com? Is it because they don't really have them (ie. just forget to take it off their website.)?
I am looking for Brembo OEM replacement pads too (I have 04 G35 6MT). Have been thinking about the ones from everythingg35.com. But I have never dealt with them, don't know how they are in terms of shipping speed and charges, ect. Don't even know if they have them, since the OEM brembo pads are so hard to get. ( someone said brembo only sell those to infiniti dealers??)
Has anyone here tried to buy those OEM brembo pads from them? what was your experience?
Thanks for your input.
