will Megan racing rear coils work with Tien Flex?

Actually are any coilover kit parts interchangable? Can I use rear springs from another coilover kit with Tien Flex rear spring perch?

Not unless said donor system uses the same spring diameter. Tein uses a pretty fat rear spring, Megan rear springs are much narrower. What might swap in are Tom Motorsport rear sleave coilover springs.

BTW, megan rear springs are 448lbs and unless your have the original Flex that has 560/560 rates, you can't drop -4Kg in rate to 448lbs. Tein only allow's for a +or- 2Kg change.

Megan does offer 10kg springs. I asked a sales rep about it. He said it's only offered as an upgrade during the purchase of a full coil over set.

Seems odd to be an upgrade when all that needs be done is a spring swap to provide a lill customer service which culminates into a sale.......

Call Tein, they can get you a pair of 560lbs rear springs that are the same diameter. All you need is the part number. Then call a authorized Tein reseller and tell them the part number. Once the dealer contact's Tein to find out their cost, the dealer can get back to you with a cost and how quickly you can get them.

Megan doesn't make the coilovers, so their's a good chance that things like springs would need to come in with a product order. So, I wouldn't blame them or their resellers. The spring won't work for him so it's kind of a mute point, but Bc Racing is the oem supplier of the Megan coilovers and they can get the springs and every single part that makes up the coilover. I ordered a brake line hanger and some coil pads from them, very good service.

thanks Gsedan. I have a couple places that can order Tein for me, but I didn't want to wait so long to get them. I haven't had the best of luck with over seas ordering lately. I think I'll have to just deal with the wait though.

I understand as much however would Megan carry parts to enable such a simple swap for no charge?

Pretty sure their answer to such a request would be no, since they would most likely have to break open a in stock kit and steal parts out of it and then wait for replacements to come to make the kit whole again. I'd like to think that if someone needed a warranty part replacement for one of their kits, breaking open a in stock kit would be a no brainer for them.

Your welcome. And I totally understand the wait issue. They might just have the springs you want on hand, something they will check for you when you call them directly. Just in case you need this, here's Tein's phone number
