hey darren...
i've read the same thing about the bolt, i believe, that hits the inner fender going over bumps or bottoming out if you are too low. i'm not sure how low i plan to go, but will cross that bridge when i come to it. might modify the section with a trusty hammer
didn't get much done this weekend.
notched out the hole for the toe bolt and removed the front sway bar (thank goodness for breaker bars, those bolts holding the bracket are hella tight) and re-installed the muffler.
also sending out the rear spring bucket for powdercoat
tomorrow gonna try putting in the radiator. With the sway bar removed, might try putting the radiator in from the bottom for more room.
working on your car is fun stuff

sorry, no pics, but i got around to installing the SPL front upper control arms and front coilovers.
gonna start sanding and trying to polish the aluminum suspension components.
the PWR radiator had to be sent back because I mistakenly grinded and broke a weld. once that comes back, I'll install it and finish up my front sway bar.
the rear spring is waiting for the spring bucket to come back from powdercoat.
after that, the supension is done and I can get back on the road
pics will come as soon as I clean some stuff up.
diary continues next week...

note the bolt in question on the SPL control arm. as the suspension travels up/down, there is a small possibility that the bolt will hit the upper fender.
spoke to Kuah at SPL and they are working on getting a lower profile ball joint assemby to fix this issue. It will come as a free replacement to those who have already purchased a set.
but if you are not having any issues, than there is no reason to change out as the lower profile assembly will offer "slightly less articulation angle".
