how do different size rims/wheels affect the lowering of your car?

I have read a lot of threads where people post the size of their weels when asking about what kind of drop they should get. How does a bigger or smaller wheel size affect the drop?

it does not. it is the overall DIAMETER, WIDTH of the TIRES and the OFFSET of the wheels.

If you get tires that match the size of the current tires by changing the aspect ratio of the new tires, then changing wheels has no affect on the height of the car.
