I'm thinking about getting the vertex, but since the quality of the Iforged is in question, I think i'll be doing some research...
So do these rims vibrate in the rain? according to the m3 guys, they do.
Cheap azz? thats why I bought a G with everything, all the bells and whistle, even though they weren't worth it.... and i could have settled for the lowest, watered down model one like the one you got..

i have a set of iforged on my bmw. i've hit some pretty hard pot holes and the rims held up, no signs of any dents on the barrel (unlike some jdm ones i had in the past). however, the rims have a horrible polish. i think my lips started to get dull within a month. HRE are the biggest rip off imo. their quality has fallen dramatically but consumers havent caught on. they share the same issue with iforged, the dulling. and no, my rims dont vibrate in the rain (wtf). i think its his car or he has a nervous twitch. or maybe the rims werent balanced properly?
i think japanese rims have the best polishes. i had my rims redone at tru-wheel and they mentioned US bans the materials they use to get it to that shine. thats why a repolished jdm rim would never shine like it did coming out of japan. learning from experience, so very true with my set of maya rims.

Im not sure about iFORGED but HRE doesnt use the highest quality grade aluminum(they may advertise that they do). RAYS Engineeing uses 6061 Aluminum alloy which is one of the toughest grade out there and it is forged. RAYS forging process is like none other (
. What wheel company is JWL+R AND ISO certified? Besides RAYS, not many....
This topic has been literally beat to death now. iFORGED makes good wheels, and so does HRE. For whatever issue someone has with 1 company if you dig deep you will find someone else with a similar issue with the other.

one of the guys I compete with had both HRE and Iforged rims. His HRE was used on the track, and his iForged on the street.
He hit a few bad sections on roadcourse and bent the lip, and kinked one of the rim's spoke of the HRE. Then he took off the tires off the HRE, sold them to some guy and used the iForged. He had a soft spinout, but hit one of the rumble strips, bent both the rear rims. He said, f*ck it, and bought a set of Axis reverbs for the track and Volk TE37s for the street. He had a spin out and hit one of the bumps pretty hard off the chicane...I was two cars behind and I saw his car's back end lift. we went back to check out his suspension and wheels...and the radius of the rims were still true.
Moral of the story, sometimes you get less for what you pay for.

um guys... i think that the whole hre vs iforged battle is crap... is iforged not a company started by former hre engineers, that offer wheels of the same quality/style at a fraction of the price? imho i think hre, iforged, and dpe are all great wheel companies.
