Whats wrong with my VDC?

Hey guys this is a little long but just hear me out..., Yesterday we had one of the first ice storms here in OKlahoma and I decided to go across town to my GF's and I went the the stoplight right next to my house and sat there at the red light for a minute, when it turned green I could hear the vdc working, you know like a weired creaking noise, anyways i only spun a little bit then my Brake, VDC, and Slip light just stayed on...

I pulled over at a gas station and turned off the car for a minute hoping it would reset. but it didnt...

So I went on thinking it may still work , Boy was I Wrong!!!! I just got off of a mile long bridge then suddenly the whole butt end of the car came out and I ended up on the other side of the road facing the other direction!!! I had no Traction control help whatsoever!!!! I almost hit 2 cars and flat smack the hell out of the curb!!!

After all this i just pulled over on a side street and turned the car off hoping maybe the dang vdc would reset but nope... What do you guys think I should do... Its a $40,000 car, I almost lost it...

ive had my VDC/Slip light remain on after doing burnouts w/ some friends

anyways after shutting off the car and restarting it went away. Try an ECU reset and if that doesnt work, disconnect the battery...that should work

If it was on too much (like burnouts, etc) it can flip out and turn off. In most cases turn it off for a few minutes and it will come back on. You may need to pull the battery ground overnight if that does not work.

The system can only do so much by applying the rear brakes.

What brand of ICE RATED tires are you running........big difference between generic snow tires and specialty ICE TIRES.

Man, I took off work to drive an hour north to the dealership and all it needed was some d@mn brake fluid... so this ever happens to ya, just see if your brake fluid is low...

The VDC / SLIP lights stay on for a couple of different reasons...

Pads are worn and or Brake Fluid is low...

If you are on Icy roads, there is a limit to what the VDC System can do... If the tires are not gaining traction nothing is going to stop them...

Your brakes are only as good as the traction from the tires...

If you system senses a malfunction (back wheels spinning excessively, front wheels not moving) it can fault the system out. The only way to get the lights to turn off are to drive the car for a few mintues.

Anyone who had dyno'd a G35 will know this!
