Brembo Brake Question, I Need Help Swap Over Question Please Give Me Your Input?

I Have An 05 G35 Coupe, As Many Of You Know My Year Does Not Come With Brembos, So Ive Been Looking For Somone Selling There Used Oem Kit. I Found A Guy Who Owns A G35 And Is A Mechanic, So He Was Selling His Brembos, Plus The Brembo Rotors-cross Drilled. And He Said He Would Do The Install For Me, What Do You Think Is A Fair Price For All This?

Including install, $1500-$2000 is about right depending on condition etc.

I would think about 1600 for the brakes, maybe a lil more since he has cross/drilled rotors? which are aftermarket, with install, I would say about 2000 sounds about right.?

$1600 would be a good offer.

on the classifieds over here and my350z a full set of used OE brembos usually go for anywhere from around $1300 - $2000 depending on condition and what's included. a full brake job like that including bleeding all four corners is probably about a 3 hour job. shop rates are usually somewhere in the $75/hour range.

That's not a 3 hour job to change all 4 corners. You're just removing the whole brake system and putting on the Brembos. If you had to turn the rotors, then it would take longer. Replacing all 4 corners and bleeding the brakes wouldnt take more than 2 hours at the most, if the guy knew what he was doing.

I'd say $2000 for a front and rear OEM Brembo system plus install is a fair price.

You may as well change the flex hoses to braided lines at the same time.

Doesnt the 05 come with bigger brakes anyways...they are almost equal to the stopping power of the brembos. I guess what im trying to say is that the OEM 2005 brakes are larger than the OEM 2003 non brembo brakes right?

I'm pretty sure they're almost the same size rotor. The 05+ might be .5" bigger in diameter. But you can beat the look of the Brembo brakes. I think that's the reason most people do the swap.
