rear camber specs?
rear camber specs?
i looked thru this section but i'm getting all confused.
i just bought some rear SPC extreme camber and toe bolt kit. i'm gonna have them installed and aligned this weekend.
my question...
i have 285/30/20 in the back and lowered (by how much, i don't know cuz i bought the car like that..don't even know what springs they are).
what should be the camber offset?
what should be the toe?
i heard u should get toe close to 0 as possible and then work on the camber.
i don't race or burnout. just normal spirited driving and i like to take the corners on freeways hard. any suggestions? thanks!

First off, what springs/coils are you lowered on?
the camber and toe work together on this car, so when you adjust one, the other moves. What i do when i adjust them is get the camber around where i want it then adjust the toe to around 0-5, get both sides as close as possible and tighten it all down.
I cant tell you what a good camber spec would be because i dont know what you're lowered on. My wheels rub on hard turns because i'm lowered quite a bit so i'm limited to a maximum of -1.5 camber. On ahero4eternity's car, he's lowered about 1.5" all around with 285/35/19 and i set his rear camber to -0.9 with the toe at +0.02 on both sides and its perfect.

unfortunately..i don't know what springs and how much i'm lowered. i can barely put one finger under the fender right now. but i've never had it rub even on hard bumps that i hit my head on the ceiling..haahha.
my wheels don't stick out of the fender at all, but that's right now with stock camber. my wheels are cambered in pretty bad. but i think it looks good that way. so i guess i should just try to get to -1 camber and then have them get to 0 toe as much as possible?

that's how i would set it up, get the camber to as close to -1.0 as possible without rubbing and then set the toe as close to 0.00 as possible, you'll have pretty even tire wear on the rear and extend the life dramatically.

I thought the toe should be setup with slight toe in in the rear because as the car accelerates, the IRS deflects outwards slightly so you are more in the zero toe range when moving. If you set the static toe to zero, then you will have toe out when moving a majority of the time causing slightly more wear
