hey guys, you all know the creak from the front suspension right? when you start the car and reach about 15 mph in first or second gear, the front suspension makes a loud creaking sound? so annoying... only happens once after you start the car.

i remember guys talking about tsb's, both about the felt pads on the door and the compression rods... but the problem still coming back after a while. so has a solution been found yet? or still just temporary ones?

 

a creak? or a small... gurgle? I believe the gurgle is normal, something about brakes/brake fluid.... or.. something

of course, this post is nearly worthless... maybe someone can chime in who knows what I'm talking about

 

Only on first start-up? Isn't that the ABS self-check? About 10-15 seconds in after movement starts, the ABS checks itself resulting in an odd low-pitched sound. You can also in some cases feel the vibration.

 

that is what i have read on here is that it is the ABS

 

thx for the inputs guys. if it's the abs, then i'm relieved. then are all of you guys hearing this "creak" sound after first start-up? i'll try and make a video of it to be sure... it wasn't there when i first got the car, and it started about 3500 miles in...

 

The creaking comes from the suspension specifically the sport. I had the same problem when I lowered my last car and the problem was coming from the springs.

 

really? i started hearing the sound even before i lowered mine. i've read many posts about how dealers say the problem is not replicable, but my car makes that sound every single time once i start going after first start-up! a lot of people seem to have this problem, and yet no solution has been found yet? i'm just worried about it hurting the car in any way... let alone how annoying and embarassing it is!

 

Sounds like something totally different from the ABS sequence?

FYI, Mine doesn't creek yet (crossing fingers)

 

well, here is a video of it... it's really hard to hear, but right at the 13sec mark, you can hear the creak. you won't hear it the first time, just keep playing it at the 13 sec mark. i also uploaded mp3 version of this. any1 good with this stuff care to remove the ambient noise and make the creak easier to hear?
