They go by Mitchell Labor Guide book and it calls for over 4 hours of labor for the front and rear spring/strut installs (even though i can do it in an hour) and at $110/hr... you get the picture. You'd be better off taking it to a custom shop that will only charge you an hour or two for labor.

Thanks.
I posted up in this thread, since I didn't want to make a whole new one....as there seems to have been a lot of threads on lowering lately.
I had my coupe full suspension installed over the weekend, with SPC front camber kit. I went with the z-springs up front & the coupe springs in the rear. During the installation, the shop encountered issues with getting one of my rear shocks off. They indicated that a portion of the long threaded bolt was corroded & they were not able to free it…they even tried using a vibratory impact wrench & it didn’t come loose. They had the option to heat it up to get it off, but warned me that doing so could damage the bearings or bushings (I forget which one) and if they were damaged, the cost to replace would be $500….so I opted to not go that route. So they had to keep my sedan non-sport shocks in the rear & installed the coupe springs, lowering the car the ½” as others have done.
I’m aware that I had to replace the shocks & struts because of lowering the car and in order to avoid premature wear & tear on the shocks/struts, but because the drop is only 1/2” in the rear, is this less of a concern for me, being on the non-sports shocks? I’m thinking I’m better off (as opposed to having installed the z-springs in the rear and dropping it a full 1”).
Just looking for some feedback as to how long you think the rear shocks will be good for. I realize it is what it is and I’ll eventually find out, but just curious if I’m talking a year down the road…or a few months. Please let me know your thoughts.
Thanks!
On a separate note, the SPC front camber kit they tell me is quite the kit & had great adjustability, but it required them to have to move the ABS sensors on the car & some other modifications (some piece provided would not fit perfectly, so they had to modify it). Without relocating the ABS sensors, they said they drove the car down the road & the ABS kicked in while they were driving & the car was shaking/fighting back. Just an FYI to others who are installing this….I did have them install the spacer plates provided, as recommended by SPC…so not sure if leaving these out will avoid this issue or not.

I'm getting cusco front arms installed on my G in two days, the guys at the shop said he would charge me 65 bucks. I have a lifetime alignment at Firestone as well. Will I mess up my car if I get my cusco arms installed and drive like a mile to the firestone??
