vlsd dosent have much to do with the type of tranny u have since all it does is make both wheels spin instead of 1 while cornering

I know what they are and what not, but how can both wheels be spinning while cornering? One has to spin more than the other while going around a corner..correct?

I know from a launch in a straight line they are great because you are getting 2 tires to give traction rather than only 1....i think thats right? Correct me if im wrong.

EDIT: Mine didnt come with sports package either so im kind of interested as well.

vlsd is garbage, its not even a locking differential. go with cusco, 890 plus shipping.

my friend has his vlsd for sale for 300, but u need new bearings etc...and stub axles, so total for like 700, might as well get a full locking diff that works well all the time for 9 bills. imho

btw both wheels spin for cornering as well as in a straight line, just not all the time, and the lsd doesnt lock.

Even with a clutch type LSD, the amount of torque you can transfer to the non-slipping wheel is capped at the torque it takes to overpower the springs/clutch.

Unless you mean it's garbage becuase a VLSD actually requires slip before it transfers torque....

I assume you are talking about this type of LSD when you say locking, and not one that actually locks the two sides together. That would bind if you tried to take a turn on pavement.

VLSD doesn't care what's causing the speed difference between rear wheels it works as well [maybe better] decelerating as accelerating.

Unfortunately the viscous deteriorates with useage [number and duration of slips/high temps], just like clutch units so somewhere after 70-100k the unit stops functioning and requires replacement.

Important to keep diff lube from overheating and taking out VLSD.
