DIY Replacing Brakes

Hey-

Yeah.. uhh as you can guess.. does anybody have any experience with replacing brakes? Mine are hella worn out and i'm hoping to get some brembos.. not sure that the dealership would install them for me.. and i heard somewhere that it isnt that hard to DIY?

Any help GREATLY appreciated

are you planning to do a BBK upgrade?

take it to a shop who knows what theyre doing.

brakes are NOT something you want to mess with if you dont know what youre doing.

not a DIY, but the pics will give you an idea of what youd be getting yourself into.

Theres a general DIY in the DIY section.... not for brembos, but it should be enough to get you at least started.

If you are looking for a good DIY for brembos, you'll have to SEARCH for it, but forum member dothemath had made a good one with pictures.

Changing the brakes isn't that hard and is one of the more doable hands on projects anyone can accomplish while saving a little bit of money.

swapping on a BBK isn't hard at all.

1. take off wheel
2. remove 2 bolts for front caliper
3. unbolt brake line
4. take off rotor

installation is reverse of removal

try takin' off the pads first and puttin' anti-squeal on there. that should work.
