Most rear rotors are one piece due to the integrated rear e-brake drum. Two-piece rears are available, but the hats should be made of iron to allow the e-brake to work properly.

I really question whether there is a significant difference between the drilled and slotted rotors. My personal opinion is that it is a looks thing, but I'm NOT an expert on their dynamics as per diffusing heat.
a long time ago, real racers used to use the drilled brakes because it dispelled the gas that would develop between the pad and the rotor. however, they found out that the rotors were more prone to cracking (because of the stresses placed on the material). that's why most use slotted two piece. remember, the rotor is a LARGE heat sink. when you start removing material from it (ie-resurfacing, normal wear and tear), you also remove the heat removing characteristics of the rotor.

Good info. So I'm def. not going with the drilled rotors.

cheapest option for rotors that we have to offer is the stop tech slotted 1 piece rotors... we do have them instock...

they are a great quality rotor as well...

looking at pads and rotors at under 700 shipped to your door!

not if you plan to track them. if you track occassionally, one piece slotted should be fine. if you do it a lot, i would go with the two piece. also, if you buy from the tirerack and track your car, the rotors are no longer warrantable (they even say that in the website).

StopTech slotted one piece rear rotors is one option.

StopTech two piece rear rotors is another options.

Both are compatible which street or track pads. The two piece rotors are 2.5lbs lighter than stock per rotor.

I never track my car and don't plan on it anytime soon.

Hi RBJ:

Just wanted to let you know tha I have a 2003 6MT with the Brembo package and I need to replace the rotors and pads as well. The dealership wanted almost $3000 Canadian.

I was going to order through Riverside Infiniti (trademotion linked above) but based on this thread: https://g35driver.com/forums/showthr...ke+replacement

I just gota crazy deal on 4 rotors and 4 pads from r1concepts. If you are interested you can PM r1concepts and ask him for the group rate.

I was leary about ordering a brand I didn't know about and especially over the phone, but either everyone else feedback about r1concepts and the quality of the product I decided to go for it. I saved almost 80% from what the dealership wanted for replacement Brembo stuff.

The only problem I see with R1's products is that the quality is definitely an issue. They are EBay rotors and what do you expect for $400 for a full set of rotors... don't expect to be happy in 6-12 months... that's for sure

I have read up on R1's rotors and have no reservations about them. He's a member on Driver, so PM him.

Read up here. https://g35driver.com/forums/questionable-posts/123981-r1-concepts-brakes.html

Zeckhausen Racing also carries the Centric (Stoptech) OEM replacement rotors for a very good price. I've bought a few things from them before and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

Plain

Front 324mm x 30mm 1-piece vented rotors $85 Each

Rear 322mm x 22mm 1-piece vented rotors $73 Each

Slotted Rotors

Front 324mm x 30mm 1-piece vented rotors $108 Each

Rear 322mm x 22mm 1-piece vented rotors $98 Each

Thanks Adawar,
I just ordered mine. I read the thread that you showed me and everybody is saying positive so far. And its worth giving it a try. Previously I was thinking of resurfacing the front and replacing the rear rotors but now I changed all 4 rotors and 4 pads and that would be under $800. Thats amazing price.

Thanks again for driving me to right directions.

We have them instock as well... same pricing... nothing special about that pricing actually... just give us a call or PM and we will hook it up!

The NON-SLOTTED rotors are really cheep as shown above... We dont normally stock those but can get them...
