Any "X's" that are comfortably lowered???

I just picked up an 05X and I'm a little concerned about all the lowering/camber/ride quality issues that arise with the current lowering options. My goal is to have a mildly modded sedan that you can accomodate 4 passengers comfortably. I'd like the ride to sit nice and even (not too low in the rear) an I'd like to fill up the wheel well.

Here's my thinking, others feel free to chime in.

I'm going to upgrade to 18" sport pkg. wheel (05-06 sedan) possibly upsize the tire to a 245/45 and lower it maybe using sedan sport springs, or coupe springs, or maybe Tein H-Techs, 350Z springs are out of the question. Here's where I need some help. I'd like to stay away from aftermarket camber solutions also. I dont know what will work best. My other handling upgrades will be front strut bar, and hopefully someone comes out with a front sway bar for a "X".

Come on everyone I need some input!

You should try coupe springs it will drop your X and an inch all around. I had that set up for about a year with no camber or ride quality problems. I just installed Z springs and my camber doesn't look too bad will find out when I get an alliment next week.

There is a whole section on this topic. Please search.

I did search. If you look at the thread you linked you'll see that everyone in that thread is in the same boat. No one has an acceptable ride/comfort/handling compromise. For example, close to 90% of those who posted have some sort of "z" spring that they're really not happy with. The other 10% include custom coilovers that are some sort of rebadged attempt to be a genuine coilover application.

Again I'm looking for a comfortably lowered G. Just looking for some input.
Thanks guys!

Looks like seddon's coupe springs may be your solution.

Thanks, I'm thinking its between this and the tein H tech springs. I have H&R springs on my 4th gen Maxima and loved it, I wonder how the H&R's for the sedans are, hmmmm (I know! ...use the search function!!! )

In the thread that i posted up before, there is a member that has the tein H-techs and he stated that his shocks wore out real fast.

Had the Tein H, if your looking for comfort, theyre lil bit better than 350z springs but still w/ 2-3 adults its pretty bad. i always thought 350z and coupe springs were the same?

I think someone is tryin the H&R springs...havent seen any feedbck on it yet.

my advice: stay stock! or get 19"s or 20"s as gap is reduced.

Sorry I'm convinced after driving this car for the last 2 weeks that 18" should be perfect ride/handling compromise I'm looking for. The reason I say that is because I can get the 17's to break loose pretty easily, but I like how comfy they are. So 18's with a little a lot more width than stock should cure my traction problem fill up some wheel gap and hopefully remain just as cushy as stock.

You have a traction problem with the stock 17s? I have 20,000 miles on my stock 17s and no matter if I use auto or manual mode I never break loose. Only when its wet out.

IMO, 18s looks to small. I had 19s with 245/40/19 (Falkens) and I never had a traction issue and the ride was just as smooth as stock.

I think that you best bet would be coupe springs with 19 inch wheels running a 245/40/19 tire.

if you upgrade tires to 235/55/17 you wont break loose as easily and you retain factory looks. but handling is way up there. rims look nice with meaty tires wrapped on them.
go with 350z tein h with bilstein rear shocks. cuz no one else sells just the rears, then you will need to have the fronts rebult with shorter rods, but thats when they blow out, mine still hasnt blown out yet..
no bounce for the once here.
