Tein Basic question
Tein Basic question
I just got tein basics installed on my car. I did a mild drop of an inch all around. Waiting for my camber kit to come in before I drop it any lower. My question is does ride height determine better handling? To be clearer, would a 1.5in drop have better handling than a 1in. drop?

yes and no. lowering lowers the center of gravity so there is more balance and less weight transfer. handling depends on the whole suspension, ie spring rates, dampers, etc. but all things equal, lower is better, up to a point.
I'm loving the way it handles...best mod I've gotten so far. I might just leave it at the current drop. Also, I've read that springs do need a bit of time to settle for a drop. Is this the same for coilovers?

For the case of the basics, lowering also can improve handling, because the method that the coilover employs for lowering the car in the front is to compress the springs, increasing the preload and essentially increase the "springrate". This results in a stiffer suspension which can increase performance along with the lower center of gravity
are you completly happy with your tein basics. im thinking about order tein basic with spc camber kit

coilovers already have springs integrated...no need for them.
