You should send you shocks back to Tein if they are making noise, especially if you have the CS model. I had rattles/squeeks problems for like a year, finally after it pissed me off so much I call in and complained to Tein USA.
They are aware of the problem especially with G35's, my shocks were sent back for repair under warranty to Tein USA then re-directed all the way to Japan (as long as you have a receipt or invoice). When I got them back, absolute silence! Although a hassle, it was definitley worth it in the end.
Speak with a guy name Paul in the tech dept, he was very aware of the problem.
Good luck!
*Anyone looking for coilovers, like above I would go with HKS, Tein's reputation isn't the greatest*

The Comfort Sport are designed to provide a firmer than stock, but still sporty ride for a sport-luxury car. Flexes are a just plain-old sports car firm ride. They are designed to be used on the track. If your G is primarily a daily driver then the Comfort Sport is probably the way to go, if you autocross or track the G then the Flexes are in order.
These differences are because of spring rates and the type of upper mounts used. The CS have a firmer than stock rate of 392/392, but much softer than the flexes 671/671 rates. The upper mounts are also different in the CS uses a hard rubber bushing and the Flex use a metal one. The metal bushing can cause creaking noises and other unpleasant sounds, while the rubber bushing remains quite.

The metal ball version is most definitely prone to noise.
The rubber ball version, from my personal experience, should not have such "ridiculous" noise you mentioned.
If you're getting a loud rattling noise, then I'm almost certain the main center nut (on the top side) is loose. I've witness several units from Tein that has the center nut barely finger tight. The installation procedure also stated that nut ought to be tightened.
So give that a once over. Good luck.
