Actually; In the front, the AeroRotors (324x30mm) weigh 16.75 pounds versus the RB 2-piece’s 15 pound weight. In the rear, the AeroRotors (322x22mm) are 12 pounds versus RB's 16 pounds.

So, the AeroRotors are 1.75 pounds heavier in the front and 4 pounds lighter in the rear compared to RB 2 piece.

I would like to put cheaper rotors on the back. +700 for the rears is high, but I intend to get the m45 wheels soon and I want the car to be fluid.

$178 -Hawk HPS (F&R)
$1520 - StopTech AeroRotors (F&R)
$173 – StopTech SS Brake Lines
$ 45 – Dot3 Brake Fluid
$500- labor

$2416 – Total

Do I need to do the rotors in the back? The back rotors are $836.

Should I just get a BBK? What should I do with the back brakes if I do?

Thanks for your efforts.

Install them yourself and save more. It's not a difficult job if you have a Mighty Vac bleeder or something similar.

I appreciate the offer. I don’t have the week time to devote to do this job and my weekends are always packed.

What material does RB use for thei 2pc rear? I think I recalled the rear being iron. not too sure though. What does Stoptech use for the 2pc rear replacement?

This info is taken from:

http://www.racingbrake.com/G35_Bremb...040-311-01.htm
&
http://www.stoptech.com/products/rotors.shtml
&
http://www.mynismo.com/products/Defa...id=4206&v=more

RB Rear- Rotor Material: Racing Formula Alloyed Gray Iron & Heat treated. Alloyed iron formula adds strength and heat resistance. Heat treating further improves rotor performance for a more uniform and stabilized microstructure.

Stoptech- both front and rear 2-piece AeroRotors are directional floating cat iron formula rotors with directional billet aluminum mounting bells.

I am puzzled as to why the rears are 4 pounds lighter. I also did not know they made 3pc rotors.

Other rotor information from Stoptech can be found hererolleyes:
