i wonder how much it'll be.............
Actually that looks better, since there is no adjustment and no way for the bar to ride up during hard cornering. But, knowing Stillen, it will cost a lot.

actually, their rear strut bar isn't that much (imo). well, if there is no height adjustability...then i wonder if itll fit with plenum mods...

depending on cost and computability with plenum spacers, i may switch to the stillen bar...

but serious...what's with all these new strut bars recently? how come no one made them before?

Too bad this Stillen version (and all the other bent aluminum ones) are just that aluminum

Like I said, I have bent severall aluminum STB's on the car before, prototypes and otherwise (even some being sold right now)
Knowing what I do about how much, and how hard these G35 front midship designed cars flex, I would not go with anything less than good quality steele for this front STB....... trust me.

Damn, looks like I still have to keep on making my (very first one out) version of these STB's, untill someone steps up and makes a worthy one. Oh well..........

Not as hard to flex as "airplane wing" shaped aircraft grade .120 wall 4130 chromoly would be.

304 stainless is good material, not too bad, but that Stillen STB pictured IS NOT 304 stainless, not at all. It IS aluminum (T6 6061 most likely) So, not sure what the final product will be made of, but I hope it is not another aluminum one.

interesting. the only thing i can think of is that stb in the picture is just a prototype - thus the use of aluminum? no idea...i was just confused b/c their description says it's 304 stainless steel.

question...is 304 stainless steel an (in)expensive material? i mean...the stb is less than 150 bucks. if 304 ss is fairly pricey, then it probably is aluminum afterall. but if it's cheap, then there's a hope.

wa2good -

How do you qualify your design? What makes it better or worse than all the other STBs out there? Was any sort of FEA done on it (or even a run-to-failure test) and compared to the other STBs (material-wise and strength-wise)?

Yes. 304SS is stronger than AL6061T6 but for our application, going with SS may be overkill (and at the same time going with AL may be insufficient). So without any real comparative testing with all of the STBs in the market one can't really say that one STB is better than the other.

lol... Norb, Scott is a professional driver, used to race Nascar, he tests everything you can throw at him in real world situations (the Track) so i'd have to say he knows his ish!
