i'm guessing the dealer won't do much of a better job than a lot of other typical alignment shops. dealers are well known for screwing up aftermarket wheels and doing nothing about it.

i'd rather pay 75 bucks than 150 bucks if i'm going to get the same service.

i guess i just got lucky.

I tried to take my car to Firestone after I put on springs, but it wouldn't go up the ramp. It got high-centered. They're only H-Techs! There's only one place in my town that has a "pit style alignment machine" (?) and they only charged $69. It's not lifetime though like Firestone.

I wouldn't take it to a dealership either, specialty alignment shops is where its at, expect to pay ~$140 PER ALIGNMENT! , I got lucky though like you and there is a local guy who owns a 350z and works at an alignment shop and hooks us up. Even allows me to sit in the car so the alignment is set correctly for my added weight, ~$70, not too bad, not as good as the firestone deal though

yeh, i know what you're saying. i was just saying if those were the only two choices...i'd opt for the cheaper one - where they might let you watch them do it whereas some dealers don't allow customers in the back (let alone sit in the car..lol)

I have the same machine at my shop... but i went out and bought some 12ft. 2x8's for ramps and the car just rolls right up em!

A one time should run you between $70-$80 at any shop, even the dealer. The firestone Lifetime alignment really is a great deal, it pays for itself after 3 alignments and you can get it done as often as you'd like.

Speaking of which, I should be getting the lifetime alignment package. Grant, how much is it?
