1) I no longer drive 100 miles a day, so I don't need to worry about my shoulder having issues.

2) Never had a issue with driving position? So I dunno what your smoking on that.

Ooooookay. I eagerly await the excuse for getting rid of the Nismo 350Z within one year. My guess is it will be something along the lines of "it's too flashy" or "the body kit gets too much damage".

Now back on topic, the ride height is still the same as the coupe springs, but it is becoming more apparent that there is a bit more pogoing around on choppy surfaces. The highway ride is definitely better and handling on turns is better, but city driving has become slightly more annoying with the rear being more prone to hopping around. I'm sure that could be fixed with adjustable dampers, but I'm not willing to spend that money right now. I may or may not reinstall the coupe springs in the back within the week. I want to see how the car rides with the wife and child on board.

You know Dave. I haven't directly attacked you till this post (if you can really call that a attack) anymore for the past few months. I am leaving you alone and I would apperciate you do the same.

I doubt I will sell this car because of how rare it is. I will most likely buy a 2nd car as a daily, something used.

just to get this thread back on course...i found a complete unrevised 350z suspension with coils and struts and only 3000miles on em' now the question is this. i have 2 kids that are in the back every other day (1 year old and a 3 year old). will going with g springs be better than Z springs in teh rear for the fact that i will have some weight in there sometimes or will the difference in weight (60 lbs) be nominal at best?

I don't think so. Last year I made quite a few very long trips (500-900 miles) with my son and wife on board plus about 150lbs of gear in the trunk. I didn't notice any major changes in ride quality or road noise. Granted this was with coupe springs in the back, but I don't think the Z springs would behave much differently.

UPDATE

The rear appears to have dropped slightly less than 1/4" in the rear. Last night while rotating my tires, I noticed that I could no longer get my jack under the front frame rails. It use to be that I could slide the jack under with less than 1/8" to spare. Now I'm required to slightly jack the back up before I can get the front jack into place.

I'm still debating on whether or not to put the coupe springs back on because there is clearly a positive difference in the way the car handles in the turns with the Z springs out back.

Hmm I have both coupe/Z (older) springs at home. Maybe I'll break them out and compare the diameters

I have been running on revised coupe springs at the back with 427 spring rate... now I am thinking if I should try to swap in the Z springs.

Yet, I think my ride is harsh enough that most of my passengers complain lol.. they are like wtx with this car..isn't this supposed to be an entry luxury sedan?...

It must have been my 35 aspect ratio tires + my shocks' settings + springs + sway bars set to Med/Med....

350z revised springs all around

I don't know about you guys, but I think the appearance of the rear sagging really depends on the wheel and tire combo as well. I have been on the revised 350z springs all around for about 3 months now and it doesn't look that saggy at all to me.

Here's the G on coupe 19"s, low rear offset:

Here's the G on stocker 17"s with some shadow play

Doesn't it seem like the G is less saggy in the rear when sitting on the 19"s? Maybe because of the 245 40's in the rear and 225 40's in the front. Either setup, when you really look at it, the wheel gap is nearly identical front and back. The offset plays a big role in perception as to how it 'looks saggy.'

for the record, my car is an auto (not sure if it's more front heavy than the 6mt), but I do also have a full size 17" spare in the trunk.

lol exactly what I mean. The front looks lower than the rear for the 19"s but when you look at the 17"s the rear looks way saggier.

Jeff, there is some slight rubbing in the rear over quick dips or bumps, but nowhere annoying or bad enough for me to go out and get them rolled immediately.

Dave, I don't think the problem lies within the springs. I believe you are experiencing the same problem the earlier z's had with those springs on the shocks that weren't properly dampened. You might want to try a complete revised 350z suspension. I think I saw an 07 z suspension forsale for like 225 shipped. I was quite happy with the 06 suspension I had on for a couple of months before going with the nismo. The revised suspension rode different then the z/coupe spring combo I had on the oem sedan sport shocks.
