tyre preasures

what are the correct tyre preasures for 225/50/17and235/50/17s i have no information on my car

Depends on what side wall stiffness [spring rate] where you wish to operate.

A good safe inflation is 80% of the maximum rating [51 x 0.8= ~~40.8], however oem usually use less to improve the ride harshness say 0.7 x 51 = 36 psi COLD..........knowing that rotational friction will increase the tire air temperature and increase psi to a safer amount on the highway.

Check the label on the driver side door jam.
