I installed G H-Techs today and like I was warned, the drop is minimal. How long should I wait before running out to buy the Z H-Techs?
Can expect a little more drop??

Wow, 4 weeks. Not worried about tire wear? I would think a few days is a long as you'd wanna go.

I would go ahead and buy the 350z h-techs now, and when you install them do a springmount mod in the rear to get a noticeable drop

 

i waited a week for mine

 

2-3 weeks with a buncha stuff in the trunk.

 

Tein warrants their springs for a maximum of 5mm of sag. While that may only be a warranty and does not guarantee that they won't "settle" I think the thing to consider is whether or not 1/4 of inch is going to make a difference to you.

Let's say they do settle by that much. That means the whole car should equally drop a tiny bit more. If you want more that than what settling will provide, get the other springs now.

As far as alignment, you should drive on them for a week or so to let the rest of the suspension "settle", as bushings and etc will have a different static position after lowering and should adapt accordingly.

 

I'd say about 3 weeks for them to settle. Make sure you get an alignment after that.

 

Several weeks?! Wow. It's suppose to be ~24 hours. If your springs take that long to settle, there's issues.

 

Definitely do the springmount mod that Redlude has posted. When I had the said springs installed, the rear could have been a bit lower.

Really? Maybe BMW springs are different from Nissan/Infiniti springs. You guys are the first group of people that says anything more than a day.

Then again, when I installed the Nismo S-tune springs and shocks on my 350Z, I didn't have time to take it to the dealership for alignment until the weekend after. It certainly didn't take 3 weeks to settle, I can tell you that. The alignment and ride height didn't change after the first alignment 1 week after the installation. I brought it back about a month after the first alignment because I wanted more negative camber, and the initial alignment reading was identical.
