Do STI Calipers fit the G/350Z?

I've seen a lot of factory Brembo brake kits on ebay (STI, EVO, Magnum, Cadillac) and was wondering if any of these fit the 350z/G35. The STI calipers seem to be a pretty close match but I wasn't really sure. Does anyone have any info on this?

Thanks,
SZ

It has been discussed, but i dont think anyone has actually done it...The regular OEM crap brakes have the e-brake inside the rotor. So i think with the brembos the e-brake is actually attacked to the caliper (not 100% positive on that, but i would assume thats how they would do it). So you would have to make some kind of mounting plate to fit the new calipers on, which wouldn't be that hard at all. Getting the correct rotors and everything would be the hard part.

The calipers may look similar, but it's hard to say whether the piston sizes would be the same.

I do know that a friend of mine was putting STi Brembo's on his Legacy GT and the subject came up if the G35/350z units would fit. Supposedly, all the mounting points are off.

I've seen both disassembled, and visually they look very close.

That said, I don't think they will match up

Darn! It's so freakin hard to find factory Brembo's for a reasonable price. Thank you all for the information.

Since no one has given you a definitive response...answer is NO. The closest thing between the two calipers is the color, and even then, I think the G35/350z ones have a bit more orange in them.

I have a full set of EVO VIII brembos for another project, and I can tell you they definitely do NOT fit. The g35 front caliper mounting bolts are 4" apart, the Evo's are 6.25"; the g35 rears are 4.25", and the Evo's are 5.5". Plus these are not powdercoated like the gold brembos, just painted red with a clear-coat.

The short answer is NO

The long answer is NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

The STi brembos have different piston sizes, use different pads and the mounting brackets are set up for a different rotor size and spindle.

As to the question of the parking brake, both setups use the drum in hat design as opposed to using the caliper.

With enough time/money/modification, you can pretty much make any bbk fit any car. As far as an easy direct bolt-on, answer = NO.
