Someone need your advise
Hey,
I am thinking of installing lowering spring for my G, and I need your advise to help me choose one.
Tein: s-tech or Eibach: Prokit.
Which one is better? Please give me your opinion.
thx for everyone who pay attention to this post

check out the suspension sticky. spring rates, how much lower the springs are, progressive/linear, etc. browse around and utilize the search function. this same thread was made earlier.
The bottom line is this:
Both are really good items, and you can't go wrong with either. Ideally, Tein Basic or Flex coilovers are the BEST route to go, and a little more expensive. So matter what, the labor is the same, as the same parts need to be pulled and re-installed anyway - in fact, labor should be cheaper, as the front set is a full replacement, meaning the springs in the front don't need to changed - saving labor efforts of your installer.
So - where do the Tein coilovers get more expensive - cost for one, over the springs. Alignment after - you'll want to adjust height only for the Basics and height and damping force with the Flex. If you get the EDFC for the Flex, you can adjust damping force at will with the push of a button inside the car.
Another item: You'll need to adjust for camber - no matter what you get. You should investigate and get camber kits for the front and rear as well, to get the best alignment and handling as well. Get all of this done at the same time and save labor.
So - the Basics cost about 2X the springs set and have the same labor cost - both need alignment and highly suggest a camber kit - at LEAST for the rear. you don't get damping force adjustment with the Basics - and some think they are too stiff, but that all depends on your taste and desires.
The best ride you will get - are the springs or the Flex dampers. The springs lower you really well, and give you a great ride quality.
So it really doesn't come down to which to buy, more than it comes down to how much you can - and really should spend. I would strongly suggest the Basics, or if the money is there - the Flex with EDFC (EDFC is an option, though quite convenient! There are many on these boards selling their springs - so you can get great deals - but they are selling them because they are upgrading to the coilovers.
If money is an object - don't waste it on springs and do it right the first time.
BTW - I have the basics, and love them. The ride is perfectly fine. Once I added the Hotchkis sways and put them at the absolute stiffest setting, the ride quality began to suffer a bit.
