Does the grinding noise happen when turning left at any speed?

Your warranty is 48 months or 60,000 miles. As long as your car hasn't been in service for more than 48 months, it's a warranty issue.

One thing to check are the plastic fender well liners and the plastic pan under the engine. Make sure nothing is dragging or rubbing.

One of your ABS sensors up front mau be misaligned or the speed sensor up front may be disconnected.

Would jacking the car up with a hydraulic jack and and floor jacks have caused it become like this? The car was making the noise when you would get above 40mph but after I put my headers and exhaust on it started doing the VDC/SLIP problem.

I have your solution.... Your clue was the steering wheel being off dramatically. There is a recalibration to the steering angle sensor that should be done in conjunction with an alignment. I had it done while sitting in my car watching the tech. It synchronizes the steering angle settings to the new/proper alignment settings using the under dash OBD plug. Mine was off about a half degree or so because of the new alignment. The tech said the more it is off the more it will make the VDC malfunction. Since your steering wheel alignment is way off that is your trouble. The VDC is acting as if the wheels are straight when they are turned and vice versa causing slip angle intervention etc.

Get it checked out and then send me a PM re the money.

No need, tell them what I have told you and the problem will be solved.

It was at the dealer I bought it from (Allen Auto Sales aka used car lot) not an I/N Dealer.

Ok, so here is the problem I am having...above 40mph (roughly) the front end sounds like it is grinding; the dealer I bought it from said they would check it out...which they did but they blamed it on the tires (bull****)...also when you turn left it makes a horrible grinding sound along with turning the VDC OFF light and SLIP light on...now if I turn the VDC off when I first start the vehicle the SLIP light won't come on but as soon as I start driving it turns on (never happens in reverse only in drive or manual mode). Also if I don't turn the VDC off then the brakes will lock up when I start driving, in turn turning the VDC and SLIP lights on (not flashing but constantly on).

I know it's not brakes because I topped off the fluid then a week later changed my brake rotors and pads (as suggest on here). So brand new rotors and pads. My steering wheel is off from about 9pm and 3pm line up, to about 10 to 4-ish. I highly doubt that is the problem though.

The nearest I dealer is 100-ish miles away in Clarksville, TN (I live in Paducah, KY) for warranty work. I have 50,010 miles right now on it...so I assume all my warranty is fubar and gone (bought it used with 47k miles).

So yes, whoever can narrow this problem down and help me resolve the problem with get $50.

Thanks,

NkryptD
there ya go
