another vote for RBull solution. I just had my steering wheel angle position sensor reprogrammed as well. I replaced the clock spring that's why the mine was off. Dealer charged me $105 for 15 mins job.

I had it done while sitting in my car watching the tech. It synchronizes the steering angle settings to the new/proper alignment settings using the under dash OBD plug. Mine was off about a half degree or so because of the new alignment. The tech said the more it is off the more it will make the VDC malfunction. Since your steering wheel alignment is way off that is your trouble. The VDC is acting as if the wheels are straight when they are turned and vice versa causing slip angle intervention etc.
