$50 for however can solve this problem with my car!

Ok, so here is the problem I am having...above 40mph (roughly) the front end sounds like it is grinding; the dealer I bought it from said they would check it out...which they did but they blamed it on the tires (bull****)...also when you turn left it makes a horrible grinding sound along with turning the VDC OFF light and SLIP light on...now if I turn the VDC off when I first start the vehicle the SLIP light won't come on but as soon as I start driving it turns on (never happens in reverse only in drive or manual mode). Also if I don't turn the VDC off then the brakes will lock up when I start driving, in turn turning the VDC and SLIP lights on (not flashing but constantly on).

I know it's not brakes because I topped off the fluid then a week later changed my brake rotors and pads (as suggest on here). So brand new rotors and pads. My steering wheel is off from about 9pm and 3pm line up, to about 10 to 4-ish. I highly doubt that is the problem though.

The nearest I dealer is 100-ish miles away in Clarksville, TN (I live in Paducah, KY) for warranty work. I have 50,010 miles right now on it...so I assume all my warranty is fubar and gone (bought it used with 47k miles).

So yes, whoever can narrow this problem down and help me resolve the problem with get $50.

Thanks,

NkryptD

1) Did it do this BEFORE you did the brake job?
2) Does it PULL to either side?
3) Something is seriously screwed up if the vdc and abs are going nutso

1) Yep it did it before; that is why I changed the rotors and pads per recommendations on this site.
2) Nope just goes straight.
3) I think so too but I hope not...because it's gonna be expensive as hell!

Only makes the noise when turning left? Sounds like a wheel bearing is SHOT. Grab each tire with both hands and shake. See if you can notice any excessive play. There should not be any clunking or such.

No AWD it's a G35 Coupe 5AT.

I hate to pay for the diag @ the stealership if I can get some info off of here to save me the $70 I would gladly pay someone $25 if we narrow it down to the specific problem.

Actually, how worn are your tires?

It's hard to tell if this grinding noise if from the abs system going nuts or if it's something actually wrong.

Also the dealer should have given you the error code and what the code meant. You should call the the dealer and get that explained to you

The tires are pretty old and don't have much tread left; but it only happens when turning left...not right...Now the slip and VDC it doesn't matter which way you turn; it just happens if your turning left, right or going straight...as long as your NOT in reverse.

Do you know how to disable the abs/VDC? If you take out the fuse and CAREFULLY drive it, what happens?

Have yet to take the fuse out...where is the fuse panel and which fuse is the VDC and or Slip fuses? As far as disabling I usually punch the VDC button, but even then the VDC stays off and wont come back on (the light stays on but won't turn off) and then once I get going the slip light comes on.
