how long do coilovers last???

it's about time for me to replace my struts and I was thinking if a coilover set would be a good idea. the thing is I drive a lot of miles commuting and put on around 18k a year. I would hate to plunk down 1500 and end up only having the coilovers last 2 years. I know you can rebuild them but the down time would not make that possible. Maybe a good set of struts like Bilstein would have better longetivity. Anyone had to replace their coilovers and at what mileage?

if you dont do alot of tracking and dont need much height adjustments then definitely go with the Bilsteins or even Konis then match em up with a set of springs that caters to your driving.

but to answer your question- it really depends on the roads that you travel and how agressive you drive as well, they are heavier duty than the standards struts, but certain parts arent made for constant bashing on crazy potholes as well.

hope that kinda helped
