VDC or brakes???
VDC or brakes???
I have been having this problem with the '04 Coupe (BREMBO). Im not sure whether its the brakes or the VDC. When i'm in a turn going about 40MPH and above and apply the brake and release the "SLIP" light blinks rapidly and it feels like the brakes are engaging in a pulsating matter. I dont kno what is going on.
i only have about 28000 miles on the car...

Yes, it is VDC, and even if you aren't losing control it will still kick in because for one you shouldn't be taking 40mph turns in public streets.. What if you hit a pedestrian crossing at an intersection? You have a high chance of not seeing them in time if you're taking a turn at that speed, and pedestrians will cross even when they are not supposed to.. Hell, I almost hit one jaywalking idiot the other day walking on ****ing Beach Boulevard 1am in the middle of the street wearing dark clothing, and Beach is an 8-lane street best crossed at crossings

What's the condition of your tires and suspension? Are they worn?
Yes, the VDC controls throttle and brakes based on the yaw rate it senses, and tries to bring the car back into line if the sensors perceives that the yaw rate is too high. Assuming that there's not something wrong with the VDC system or one of its sensors, the fact that your VDC is kicking in means that you are either going too fast for the turn (in the computer's eyes) or that some element of your suspension (tires, shocks, springs, etc.) is too worn out to handle the G-loads. My first suspect would be tires.

don't turn that off if you don't know how to correct yourself. the g's fat and likes to swing... it's got a heavy load, but if you do, oh man the g is just perfect.

i never said i was taking a turn at an intersection DAD. Just help me with my problem thanks guys. and for your info in was 40mph on an off ramp that is a turn around.

if your tail kicks out you're in a skid, and vdc detects that and applies brakes. vdc isn't only if you're tires are spinning, its whenever you lose traction even in a side skid
