Brakes OEM Brembo Brakes '03 G35

Wow are they expensive!

Does anyone know the minimum rotor thickness for the Brembo rotors? Can they be re-cut?

Any cheaper alternatives without sacrificing too much performance?

Minimum thickness is 28.4mm. They can be recut, but not more than once. There are aftermarket alternatives, however. Do a search on here, and check out everythingg35.com, mynismo.com, tirerack.com

Question Slotted or Cross-Drilled

Which is better for day to day street driving, Slotted or Cross-Drilled? The OEM's don't have either.

Opinions will vary, but I'd go solid for street. Slotted after that.

I'm not sure where to find solid rotors on-line. Anyone have an idea? The dealer pricess are way too high.

Everythingg35.com carries the Centric solid rotors for $75/pc. Centric bought Stoptech last year, so they should be decent rotors, especially for the price.

I've always gone for xdrilled/slotted for looks and performance. No problems yet.

Brakes

I installed drilled Brembo rotors, Nismo pads, Goodridge steel braided lines, and upgraded to Motul brake fluid to compliment my OEM Brembo calipers and wow what a difference. Already have 30k on the pads and there is still over 60% pad life left. Driven very hard too. Rotors will run about $350 for front and $300 for rear, but well worth the price...
