$400 Spring Installation?
So I just got off the phone with SGP Racing located here in Houston and they quoted me $400 to install springs. Is it just me or is this an outrageous quote? Performance Factory said they will install them for $100, but they are not necessarily an option for me.
Anyways, does anyone know of a good place in Houston to get springs installed? If so, please advise. I guess I could always do it myself, it doesn't seem difficult.

If you don't wanna have a HUGE P.I.T.A. installing the fronts, just P.M. NorthSideRacing. I did the rears myself because they were easy, it's not even worth it to do the fronts... IMO I also live in Houston and everyone quoted me 400, but just P.M. NorthSideRacing to get them installed.

I installed Eiback springs with SPC front and rear arms. It took me about 3.5 to 4 hours to install everything. If you just do the springs, I would allow for 2.5 hours. The first spring always takes the longest. BTW, I rented a spring compressor from Autozone. Do yourself a favor and do the same. It's safer and easier.

+1... I too rented one and they are free if u return them the next day. The rear springs u dont need the compressor but the front ones u do.
i installed tein basic coilovers...front and back. took me about 4 hrs. the hardest part for me was loosening the bolts for the first time (used hand tools)...if I had pneumatic tools I probably could have saved myself an hour. I I didn't use a spring compressor. I just positioned my socket wrench on top of the front strut assembly, covered the wrenchand strut with a rag, positioned the bottom of the strut against the sidewalk and started loosening until i felt the spring lose tension.
