Vibration On Road....HELP!!!
Vibration On Road....HELP!!!
Hey everyone I need help. I don't know if its just me, but when I'm driving and I'm doing about 80mph to 100mph, it feels like the wheels are vibrating. I check all my lugs and they're all on tight. But I notice this all the time. But when i slow down, it goes away. I do have 20s Sevas S-22 Chrome rims with some Falcon 452 low profile tires. The thing is, I never notice this before, unless I wasn't paying attention. I can feel the vibration on the steering wheels and never attempt to go faster than 90mph. It is lowered on some Tein spring 1.25~1.5 and never been align.
You think this might be the reason???

It happen many times to my friends, you can go to the stealership to ask them, but in MY OPINION, its your TIRES! You need new tires! 3 of my friends had the vibrating problem, especially on the freeway only too, as soon as they got new tires, that went away.
Also, pleaaaaaaaase dont buy cheap tires

Well...Brand new tires on the back. On the front, still got about 75% life left. But I have notice the front tire is a Bit low on air. Maybe thats the problem...LOL. I will go and add air and see if this will cure the annoying headaches. Everything as you said Elayman...HAHA...except the girl was not on top of me...she was scared ****less...all I can say was " Don't worry, I am a professional".
most likely they are slightly out of balance.... 85-100 mph vibration borderlines normal operation.... but with the big rims and stick on weights...id say a balance issue. get your front 2 wheels and tires rebalanced...

Infiniti has a tire wheel radial force spec of less than 14 pounds [7 is better] what do your wheels and tires read on a Hunter 9700 test machine?
After market wheels rarely meet oem specs without additional work to bring them into compliance................then the problem of extra wheel weight above oem specs!

Things that make vibration at speed are:
Tires out of balance
Tires out of round
Water in tires (don't put air in at a gas station!)
Tires with flat spot (unlikely with ABS but it can happen if you spin out)
Warped rotors (have to be plenty bad)
With what you have said, I vote for rebalancing the tires and NOT at the Stealership! Go back to where you bought them. Most big tire dealers will give you lifetime balancing anyway.
Haha...I never knew that. I usually check it on my last car. I don't know why I haven't on the G. Well, now I know to check it. Thanks everyone for the help. Could have cost me a fortune down the road and saved me the hassle of bringing it to a shop when the problem all along was something so minor. You guys are very helpful!!!
